My boyfriend and I went to Solomon Brothers about a month ago on a Friday afternoon. We did not make an appointment but obviously we should have because the store was packed. We were sent to a male salesperson- I cannot recall his name- but he had a foreign accent. He was nice enough but obviously didn't know what he was doing. After having subsequent experiences at other local jewelry stores, I now see just how bad their service is. The man who showed us rings actually told me that the ring that I was interested in (an oval diamond with halo and pave band) would not look good and told us that he didn't personally like the ring. Wow- anyway, I'm curious about how their online service is though. Their prices seem competitive, but it also seems risky to buy a diamond without seeing it before. I would suggest looking at local jewelry stores to figure out the style of ring you want and then contacting a wholesale diamond dealer who can give you a great price below retail and design the exact ring you want. I found the man who showed us rings at Solomon Brothers to be completely rude and incompetent- he also left us halfway through the session and passed us over to another woman who was very nice, but has yet to contact my boyfriend about proceeding with the process. Please stay away from this mega store and go to a local dealer or wholesale diamond dealer. Waste of time! Go to another jewelry store and get the right experience with salespeople who don't cheapen the experience and understand that looking for an engagement ring is a big deal and a special time!

My wife and I purchased new watches from Hal Martin's and were extremely happy with the entire process. We were able to easily identify the watches we wanted, the watches were found and brought into the store within a few days. When we did need additional service on one of our watches, Hal Martin's staff was eager to help us remedy the issue. We will go back to Hal Martin's for all of our watch needs. Great job - keep up the great work!

Took recently inherited antique watch in for appraisal. Staff was extremely professional, and not only appraised, but also cleaned my watch and told me all about its history.

A couple of years ago the jeweler we were using went out of business. In search of a new jewelry business, we happened to drive by Hal Martin’s and stopped in. At the time, we were upgrading our bezels on our Rolex watches; Tarang provided an excellent buying experience in regards to both price and quality. Therefore, when it came time to upgrading my wife’s wedding band, Hal Martin’s was the obvious choice. We were looking for a 100% custom designed band. So, with an idea in mind, I drew a rough picture on a piece of paper and decided on the overall width of the ring and the size of the center stone. Tarang took over from there and two weeks later we had a “WAX” model of the ring. We made a few minor adjustments before proceeding. Two weeks later, we had the most STUNNING ring you could ever imagine!!! In addition and most importantly, THE SERVICE AFTER THE SALE, IS AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN WHEN THE PURCHASE WAS MADE.
They have made a customer and a Hal Martin advocate for life.
