Scrumptious!
We tried Fleming's based upon some of the reviews I had read on here. Our experience was absolutely wonderful. It was the first time we had dined here, but everyone from the front desk hostess to the Manager, treated us like we were part of their family. As soon as you are seated at your table, your are greeted by your waiter delivering an assortment of breads accompanied by both a chutney sauce and a sweet, creamy butter. Our waiter also gave us a brief tour of the wine menu, as well as a verbal reciting of the nightly specials, upon handing us the menus.
I ordered the Caesar salad as a starter, while my fiancee opted for the Fleming's Salad; both were perfectly executed and delicious. We both tried the Fleming's ribeye steaks for the main course. All I can say is Scrumptious! It was the best steak I have had in a very, very long time. I ordered mine cooked "medium", and it was delivered perfectly cooked. It was definiately one of the juciest, best tasting ribeyes I have ever eaten. My fiance was equally pleased with her steak. She wrapped up her dinner with the waiter's recommendation; Fleming's hot chocolate cake with the chocolate syrup center. It was served hot out of the oven; judging from the moans coming from across the table, it definately met my fiancee's approval.
The manager also came by twice during our dinner, to ensure everything was on que and satisfactory, which was a very nice touch. I also thought the overhead music playing softly in the background added perfectly to the blend of soft lighting and formal yet friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. I would definately rate Fleming's as a "must try" restaurant, if you want to experience a great meal.

A True Dining Disaster
Our party of five went here on Saturday nite to celebrate a birthday (mine).
We were seated at a booth which would accomidate 3 people but there were 5 of us so we just squeezed in.
It was similar to flying coach on a long overcrowed flight.
I guess the food was good but it was not a pleasent experience.
They seem to have enough business to be successful so it is hard to understand why they need to overcrowd that way. At least I wont be adding to the overcrowdind in the future.

average at best by Kent N. at InsiderPages
In any other city, this may be the best steakhouse in town. Unfortunately, in a city with a steakhouse on every block, this one is decent but not spectacular. When it first opened it was the best, but now after the influx of new ones downtown, this place is left in the dust. Still a good place if you don't feel like going anywhere too expensive or fancy, it offers good steak at good prices.

CONS: nothing spectacular
