Least honest landscaping material supplier in Houston
I'm a housewife who doesn't know much about gardening and landscaping. That's why I hire contractors who do know thier business to do work for me. However, when I a call a company that has been in businees 20 years, I expect they have survived so long because they are reputable, and if I order 16 yards of material, it will be delivered.

Two very large piles of material were inded delivered to my yard at the scheduled time, after a curt but correct reception when a phone order was placed. However, a few days later when my contractor arrived, he asked me where the rest of the material was, and in the ensuing discussion we established that approximately only 12 yards of material had been delivered.

When I called Jim (one of the owners of the company) he was not at all receptive to the idea that they could possibly have delivered less than the ordered amount of material. He refused to come and check the volume for himself, and additionally, as the discussion deterioted made inappropriate comments related to the nationality of my contractor, and his legality to be in the country. He refused to either provide either a refund, or offer to make up the difference in material volume.

I don't know what he thought I have had to gain by making up a story that not enough material was delivered - in doing so he cast dispersions on my honesty. It is truly a shame that they take advantage of someone who might not know better, that Jim didn't have the sense to recognize the value of keeping a customer (who up until now had been a returning customer) happy, and that he even wanted to get off the phone to a customer to talk to one of his drivers.

Unless you are prepared to go to their yard and supervise the loading of your order, don't bother thinking about using them.
